At Project Endeavor, we believe safety comes first. That’s why we maintain an ten-to-one student-to-staff ratio – one of the lowest in the industry! This lets us offer unmatched attention and unique personalized programs.

As part of our commitment to student safety, Project Endeavor staff members live on every student-occupied floor and accompany students on all activities and excursions.

The Residence Hall at UCLA adds an additional element of security, as well. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day with trained personnel for your comfort and convenience.

Travel to Los Angeles*

We recommend that students fly nonstop to Los Angeles (LAX) International Airport. There they will be met by Project Endeavor staff members, who will escort them to comfortable, air-conditioned shuttles for the brief drive to campus.

Of course, parents are also welcome to drive students to Project Endeavor directly.

Contact our office for further information on any of these travel options.

Course Options:

You will be able to choose one of the following options for stay in Hollywood:

Filmmaking

Whether you want to make compelling documentaries or blockbuster feature films, you need to understand the basics before anyone yells, “Action!” This high-altitude introduction lets students actually make a film while learning all aspects of filmmaking. Express your own creative vision by producing professional quality digital films using industry-standard gear and bring them to the big screen.

You’ll also get a VIP private tour of Warner Brothers Studios  backlot to see a Hollywood production in action, and then a special lunch in the private WB restaurant – and you never know who you might see! In the past students have seen Liam Hemsworth, Cara Delevingne, Rihanna, Ellen, Dwayne Johnson, Mario Lopez, Ben Savage, and more. Who knows, you might be on your way to becoming the next Spielberg!

Columbia College Hollywood

Columbia College Hollywood is one of only 20 film institutions in the United States that have been awarded full membership by the Centre International de Liaison des Ecoles de Cinéma et de Télévision (CILECT), the International Association of Film and Television Schools, founded in Cannes, France in 1954.

The Columbia College Hollywood campus features a 96-seat 5.1 channel surround sound theater for screenings, classes, and events, a 35-seat 7.1 channel surround sound screening room, a sound stage, a three-camera HD television stage with a green screen and control room, a Foley/ADR suite with a sound-isolated booth and control room, post-production editing suites, standing sets, an acting studio, writers’ rooms, traditional classrooms, and an equipment room with industry standard film, video, and sound equipment. The campus also has a 5,000-square-foot Learning Resource Center that provides students with individual and collaborative study space.

Acting

If making it to the silver screen is your dream, then start in the land where stars go to hit it big. You’ll explore the fundamentals of acting, finding your motivation, and creating dynamic scenes through conflict and resolution, while mastering any sense of stage fright. You’ll also gain the benefit of practicing these elements through both individual and duo-scene performances. Learn about the audition process, strengthen your monologue, perfect your improv, and gain a better understanding of scenework. Refine your talent further by engaging in the most popular acting theories, including Constantin Stanislavski’s “magic if,” Lee Strasberg’s “the method,” and the Meisner technique. You will gain exposure to industry professionals including directors, producers, and talent agents. To complete your acting class, you’ll also participate in a live audition with Emmy-nominated casting director Fern Champion.

The Lee Strasberg Institute

The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is an acting school founded in 1969 by actor, director, and acting teacher Lee Strasberg. As the only acting school in the world that teaches Lee Strasberg’s work in its consummate form, The Lee Strasberg Institute is the home for all actors seeking to delve into Method Acting and its tradition of training some of the world’s most brilliant and truthful actors.
